Data Deletion Request

We respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your data from RestroBot's systems.

What Data Can Be Deleted?

You can request deletion of the following personal information:

  • Your name and contact information (phone number)
  • Order history and preferences
  • WhatsApp conversation data stored in our system
  • Account credentials and profile information (for restaurant owners/admins)

Data That May Be Retained

Some data may be retained for legal or business purposes:

  • Transaction records required for accounting and tax compliance (typically 7 years)
  • Data necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our terms
  • Aggregated, anonymized data used for analytics

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Email Request

Send an email to support@restrobot.com with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your full name
  • Phone number associated with your account
  • Restaurant name (if you're a restaurant owner/admin)
  • Specific data you want deleted (or request "complete deletion")

Option 2: WhatsApp Request

Send a message via WhatsApp to the same number you used for ordering with the text:

"I request deletion of my personal data from RestroBot"

Our support team will guide you through the verification process.

Option 3: Restaurant Owner Dashboard

Restaurant owners and admins can initiate a data deletion request from their dashboard settings (coming soon).

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we will verify your identity before processing any deletion request. You may be asked to:

  • Confirm details from your recent orders
  • Verify your phone number via WhatsApp
  • Provide additional identification for restaurant owner accounts

Processing Timeline

We will process your data deletion request within 30 days of verification. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Consequences of Data Deletion

Please note that deleting your data will result in:

  • Loss of order history and preferences
  • Inability to access previous receipts or invoices
  • Account closure (for restaurant owners/admins)
  • Loss of any promotional credits or loyalty benefits

This action cannot be undone. Please ensure you have saved any information you need before requesting deletion.

Third-Party Services

RestroBot integrates with WhatsApp Business API. Data stored directly by WhatsApp is subject to their data policies. To delete data from WhatsApp, you may need to:

  • Delete your conversation with the restaurant's WhatsApp Business number
  • Contact WhatsApp support for additional data deletion requests
